Google Chrome: in the past, my view on Google Chrome has not always been positive. I never thought that this could be a replacement to Firefox 3.
I was wrong. Very wrong.
Google Chrome is my system default browser. Unless something dramatic happens to it or Firefox, or another browser; I doubt this will change. I love this browser.
Why:
Speed:
Google Chrome runs fast. Google Chrome starts fast. Google Chrome loads webpages, flash, javascript fast. Google Chrome uses low CPU/memory/RAM, which makes everything else I do still run fast.
Design:
What you see is the basics, all that you need to use the web to its fullest. It only has one bar, at the top of the window, for navigation. The rest is for what you use a browser for: the web.
Chrome should, Firefox does:
Add-ons:
One thing I miss from Firefox is add-ons. No matter what they are for; fun or productivity, or anything in between. But those add-ons can cost you lots of time, and speed. So, they are something that need to be fixed. Google can do that—shrink the files of addons, shrink how much memory they use, and addons could be something welcomed in my Chrome.
Customization:
In Firefox, one fun thing to do is change the way your browser looks. Through themes, through moving around buttons, and through toolbars. This is one thing Google Chrome lacks greatly. Google has a very bare-bones browser. It does what you need it to do, so why can’t we make it our own, also? As long as Google can make these fast and small, they need to come.
Welcomed, with few problems:
Google Chrome has few problems. These few problems do not effect why you should/ should not use the browser. Would you want a browser that runs everything fast, and performs with the internet better than any browser, or a browser that runs slower, but gives you some more customization. I think Google Chrome should, could, and will replace browsers everywhere. You just have to take the quick time to switch to it. Try it.
